Application

The first step for me in tool maintenance is cleaning. I will vacuum away extra debris that my dust collector tends to miss. This is especially important on tools like the table saw, planer and jointer.
Next, I take a rag and quickly wipe the area to be lubricated. This is important to prevent build up and to be sure to make the most out of your efforts.
I open the tip on the 3-IN-ONE® Dry to Touch Dry Lube and squirt a small amount on areas like bearings, gears, arbors and the like. Since it dries so quickly, this is really all there is to it.

Most woodworking tools involve blade, moving parts and rely on every small measure of precision to function properly. Any small error in calibration can cause a joint to fail or damage a workpiece.
Another key facet is finding a lubricant that prevents build up. One issue I struggled with a lot was build up on the rollers of my planer, and this was a game changer for those and eliminated a huge struggle for me. With the quick dry formula, I am able to lubricate the parts and get right to work too, which has made maintenance even quicker.
Some heavy equipment can be equivalent to the cost of a car, so it is so important to make sure to protect those investments. Beyond just protecting your equipment, proper performance starts with making sure the basic tools function is successful. Keeping the blades and their mechanisms perfectly lubricated minimizes friction and lends itself to smooth operation.
