Here is another case where Bondo’s Wood Filler works flawlessly and allows you to get back to work with shorter downtime than most traditional fillers. Most people think of Bondo as a macro filler, but really this is a place it shines for me! Here I used the Bondo Wood Filler to correct small pin nail holes and to fill small areas between wood pieces to ensure a perfect finish. One of my favorite shop sounds- the oh so satisfyi One of my favorite shop sounds- the oh so satisfying Card Scraper! It’s like the ultimate ASMR! What is your favorite shop sound? I’m using the @dfmtoolworks Card Scraper to handshake the edges of the Purple Heart Desk. Purple Heart is a fun wood to work with- but it’s very moody- it seems to be one of the most inconsistent woods in terms of burning and tear out. Rather than risk it, I used my Router to do a slight round over and finished it out this way. #ad Bondo is sort of a household name- I know very #ad Bondo is sort of a household name- I know very few people that don’t have a Bondo story to tell! The Bondo Wood Filler is perfect for filling the odd situations created when installing trim work of any kind. Here I had to mount the trim using drywall anchors- not only would protruding screw heads look bad- but it would impact the doors function too. I countersank the heads slightly, just to allow them to be covered but not eliminate their holding power. Here’s a case the Bondo worked perfect- I was able to fill these, paint, and install the doors without issue, and they’re undetectable completely. Monday Miter Mayhem! Seriously- I love a good Mite Monday Miter Mayhem! Seriously- I love a good Miter Saw- enough that I named our dog after it. I think it was the first tool I ever really fell in love with, and it still holds a special place in my heart! What was the first tool y’all loved- like genuinely got excited to pull the trigger on?! This is the @skilsawstaytrue Wormdrive Miter Saw- it’s been in my shop nearly a year, since it’s launch last fall. I love the power of this tool- the WormDrive gearing offers increased torque for better cutting power while giving it lower RPMs - the lower RPMs reduce blade deflection and overall the balance between the two gives you the power to slice through even the hardest of wood without hesitation. When doing smaller projects, you may find a less powerful saw to have its place in your shop too. I currently own 3 miter saws that offer distinct benefits- but this one is the cream of the crop! I have this mounted on my @bora_tool Portamate which is awesome in its own way! It’s like an ultra portable but rock solid miter station that allows much more portability than most miter saw stations.
