Hilti is a name I strongly believe in. They only manufacture the tools that are the best of the best, putting the need of the professional user above all else. For those that rely on quality and performance to get their job done, Hilti is a brand well trusted, especially for their technology and advances in industrial construction. Hilti’s signature is their warranty, which is easily the best in the business. Today we take a First Look at a new launch from Hilti in the HILTI 12V Reciprocating Saw Review – First Look.

Hilti 12V Reciprocating Saw Review- First Look – Value
Hilti asks $119.00 for the bare tool, model SR 2-A12 on their Website. If you add in a charger and two batteries, it will run you $210.00. While Hilti isn’t the least expensive power tool manufacturer today, I think their pricing is more than fair. If you compare the Hilti model to similar models, they are in the same range price wise. With Hilti’s superior warranty it makes them a great value for the professional tool user.
Hilti 12V Reciprocating Saw Review- First Look – My Thoughts
I am eager to test this tool more extensively in the coming weeks and months. I have used the larger Hilti Cordless Reciprocating Saw, the SR 6-A22 for quite a few months and have nothing but high praise for it. Reciprocating Saws are used a lot in Demolition work, but you’d be hard pressed to not find one on a General Contractors truck, as their versatility makes their uses endless.
When I first took this tool out of the packaging I was amazed at how lightweight it was. It instantly felt comfortable in my hand and had exceptional weight balance. It has every feature you could need and more. Hilti’s design allows for a true one-hand operation which is incredible for a wide range of uses. Features like the LED light and keyless blade clamp add to this tools ease of operation as well, making it user-friendly and intuitive to operate. While this tool is light, it is plenty powerful using Hilti’s brushless motor and 12V battery platform.
Hilti is a brand I believe in for both tool staples, like Drills and Saws. But also for their Specialty Tools such as Lasers and Fasteners. I always appreciate when a brand takes a tool like a Reciprocating Saw and makes it lighter and more efficient as Hilti did here.
