The Iconic Skilsaw, known for their legendary worm drive circular saws that are known as the “saw that built America” announce a new saw to their lineup. The first-ever cordless tool from Skilsaw comes in on their classic circular saw. Thankfully, I have an early sample to show you. Let’s see what this saw is all about in the New Skilsaw Cordless Wormdrive Saw.

Cut Capacity is 2-3/8 at 90-degrees.
53-degree Bevel Capacity.
Weighs in at 11.09 pounds bare tool, with the battery adding 4.25 pounds.
My Thoughts-
New Skilsaw Cordless Wormdrive Saw
This is a tool we have all been waiting for, some more patiently than others. With several rear-handle saws available today that have cordless capabilities, they are also not quite the same as a true worm drive saw. The question has always been when would Skilsaw jump in the game and bring an option users have been waiting for. Thankfully, we are now in a position to no longer be wondering.
My first impression on this saw comes down to solid construction. Fans of the classic Skilsaw Wormdrive Saws will feel a lot of love towards the design of this saw. The battery is a massive part of where the technology of this tool is evident. Chervon, the masterminds behind EGO’s powerhouse OPE line. With their legacy of incredible battery power, I don’t expect the new battery lineup to offer any issues.
The one potential negative is by specs alone, the saw is heavy. While weight is important, I think the balance is more the key to overall tool comfort. I think this tool for its applications, is fairly comfortable to use and once users have this saw in hand, this concern will be abated. I also found the install of the blade and all of the adjustments to be incredibly user friendly. The position of the dust port as well is a huge bonus on this saw.
