Full Review-
Cordless Outdoor Power Equipment has seen some incredible advances in recent years, providing the bulk of users with almost an entirely gas free way to maintain their yards. Today we take a look at a cordless blower that quite literally will blow you away. Keep reading to find out more about the most powerful Cordless Blower on the market, in the EGO 650 CFM Blower Review.
About the Tool
EGO 650 CFM Blower Review
One of the most contested tools in the OPE space are blowers. Right next to chainsaws, cordless blowers seem to draw a lot of questions on power, reliability and performance.
I had mixed experiences with Cordless OPE for a while, so I went into the EGO line with a fair amount of skepticism. That first trigger pull on my EGO Blower though, it had become more than evident that times had changed. EGO knew the market they wanted to go after wasn’t an easy one, and have made the slogan “Power Beyond Belief” one of the truest statements today with their consistent quality and performance.
Standout Features
EGO 650 CFM Blower Review
First and Foremost, EGO manufactured this blower to improve upon their previous model, the 580 CFM Blower. This was no easy feat since it was already a top contender in the cordless OPE market. As of now, the new 650 CFM Blower is officially the most powerful Cordless Blower available.
A Variable Speed Dial provides a range of power from 225-CFM to 500 CFM, when in use, the dial allows the user to skip depressing the trigger which can come in very handy when used for extended periods.
EGO’s TURBO button allows the blower to push out it’s full 650 CFM air movement capacity. This feature is easily one of the most notable on the EGO Blower, and is a game changer for people like myself who tend to also get a fair amount of debris and wet leaves. Simply blast a built up error with the Turbo Mode and you’re good to go.
EGO uses a brushless motor and unparalleled battery technology in their 56V Batteries to give the Blower its power. A recent upgrade to EGO’s Batteries is the dial indicator to provide a level on remaining battery life.
Weather Resistant Construction provides additional protection to your investment. Some of the batteries I own I have now had several years, and I have yet to have one fail on me.
Value
EGO 650 CFM Blower Review
One of the many great aspects of the EGO lineup today, is that their price points are incredibly competitive with gas tools. It used to be that a battery tool with enough power to perform was going to come at a really high price point. Today, this blower is available Bare tool at The Home Depot- $199.00 and offer a kitted option that includes a 5.0 battery and charger, $299.00. This is honestly a great value, and I believe it clocks in lower than their previous model, particularly the kit serves a solid serving of cost savings over purchasing the battery separately.

Thanks for the great review, I totally understand the “bane of wet leaves”! How do you find using the 650 in terms of it’s weight? My electric is about 7 lbs and this ego seems to be about 10 lbs. Maybe one just gets used to ‘pointing’ the unit as opposed to swinging it around? Thanks, Mike
