Do y’all remember the days of sticky locks, keys not working and the awful graphite lubricant to fix it? Let’s face it, no one wants to get home after a long day and struggle to get through their front door or into their car. Today we are going to take a look at a product that answers the call for an alternative to the messy products we’ve always known and offers a long-lasting fix to a common issue. So, let’s look at Fixing Stuck Locks with 3-IN-ONE ® Lock Dry Lube.

What is a Stuck Lock?

Stuck locks are one of those tedious obstacles that never happen when convenient and are always frustrating. Setting the stage, here in Texas our weather shifts dramatically, it’s 30 degrees in the morning and 60 in the afternoon, and by nightfall, it’s back to ice cold. Weather changes like this wreak havoc on lock mechanisms, especially now that locks have changed to include more materials and parts to function. Nothing worse than not being able to get your lock to turn when you get home from a long day or have an armful of groceries.
Generally, this is an easy fix, but it’s all in the timing. What used to happen is you grab a small tube of graphite lubricant and using a small nozzle try and get enough of it in the keyhole to actually help. Problem is, graphite is messy, sometimes ineffective and the material can damage some newer components of locks today. As well, it was a product that I only used for this one thing, so often no one knew where it was put after the last stuck lock was fixed.
3-IN-ONE heard the call to come up with a solution, and dare I say, they totally nailed it! Let’s look into their Lock Dry Lube and see what sets it apart and how I use it.

Application is quite literally a breeze. Simply attach the straw to the can and spray a short burst directly into the lock mechanism for a moment, and you’re pretty much good to go.
For even more significantly stuck locks, I like to spray a small amount onto the key and insert it into the lock after the initial lubricant has been applied. Just a tip for those really stubborn locks!
Wrap Up
Fixing Stuck Locks with 3-IN-ONE Lock Dry Lube
For me, like all maintenance, it’s about keeping up with it and preventing issues. We all know there is no good time for things like keys to not work. It never fails to happen when we least expect it, so like most tool maintenance, I have things like lubricating the locks and the garage door tracks, etc. on my list to check on every few months.
More than that, the 3-IN-ONE Lock Dry Lube has proven not only easier and less messy than the graphite-based lubricants of the past, but it’s incredibly effective, leaving it a win from every direction!
